President Joe Biden asked Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to send National Guard troops to the swamp for his State of the Union address. The governor rejected the request.
Biden’s first State of the Union address is set for Tuesday, but some uneasiness over a few trucker protests that are heading toward the capital to create a disruption for the event with the hopes that the national leaders in the Congressional chamber might start to listen to the American people for once.
DeSantis said he turned down the president’s request for National Guard troops to secure the peace at the SOTU address.
On Monday, the governor took top social media to break the news.
“Last week, the Biden Administration requested the assistance of State National Guards to deploy to Washington D.C. I have rejected this request — there will be no [Florida National Guard] sent to D.C. for Biden’s State of the Union.”

DeSantis is a strong opponent of Biden administration policies, more so than other red state governors. Biden targeted Florida to stop deliveries of monoclonal antibodies during the COVID Delta wave. He’s trash talked Florida, which has done better to combat COVID and protect its people than many other states. Joe Biden and his administration have lied so much and so badly about the Sunshine State that I don’t blame DeSantis for not sending troops.
Federal and DC law enforcement are trying to get the Capitol ready security wise.
On Sunday, Capitol Police announced that fencing will go up around the Capitol building ahead of Biden’s State of the Union show, and that there will be road closures for surrounding areas.
There are three trucker convoys expected to meet at the nation’s capitol to protest Biden’s policies that have harmed our country, especially the vaccine mandates, four of which are still being enforced.
A Democrat moron, Representative Ruben Gallego (D-AR) suggested that the trucks should be seized.

Remember, the midterms are coming. That is the kind of tyranny you can expect from Democrats against people who are exercising their First Amendment right “to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” This jackass Democrat wants to punish Americans who are constitutionally protected to protest the government so long as they are peaceful.
Democrats have proven time after time that they do not listen to the People otherwise.
I think it’s about time more Republican governors turned their back on this administration that has caused states so many problems. Biden has allowed over two million illegal aliens to come into the country and he has flown them to cities across the nation, in many cases not even alerting the states that they’re coming. The Biden administration has hurt every American in the pocketbook by the increasing costs of energy, rising inflation, and unnecessary mandates. The federal government does not rule over the states and it’s about time states remind the administration.
