Ron DeSantis: Disney Statement ‘Crossed a Line’ Vowing To Advocate Getting a Bill Protecting Children Repealed or Struck Down By the Courts

On Tuesday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said that Disney has “crossed the line” when the children’s entertainment company claimed it will push for a bill that was recently signed into law to be repealed by state lawmakers or rejected by the courts.

DeSantis signed the “Parental Rights in Education” bill on Monday, that critics have been lying about by calling it the “Don’t Say Gay” bill even though it says nothing of the sort.

One of the provisions (#3) included in the bill prohibits teaching children in kindergarten through 3rd grade about gender identity or sexual orientation.

“Classroom instruction by school personnel or third parties on sexual orientation or gender identity may not occur in kindergarten through grade 3 or in a manner that is not age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students in accordance with state standards.”

On Monday, Disney released a statement condemning the legislation and vowing to push for it to be abolished.

“Florida’s HB 1557, also known as the ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill, should never have passed and should never have been signed into law. Our goal as a company is for this law to be repealed by the legislature or struck down in the courts, and we remain committed to supporting the national and state organizations working to achieve that,” Disney’s said in the statement. “We are dedicated to standing up for the rights and safety of LGBTQ+ members of the Disney family, as well as the LGBTQ+ community in Florida and across the country.”

Just to make it clear, the Walt Disney Company is fighting to get rid of a law that protects children, starting at the age of 5 through 3rd grade, from being sexualized against their parents’ knowledge or permission.

The ridiculousness of the statement is that Disney acts like the bill is an anti LGBTQ+ percent sign and the little Tilda thing that goes over Spanish letters, when all it is saying is children starting at the age of 5 should not be taught with sexual identity indoctrination.

Groomers who act like professionals in the public school system tell us that 5-year-old children know there is something about their sexuality, and they are born liars. Science says that children at the age of 5 do not have the hormones necessary to understand sexuality, let alone to make a life’s choice determination. These people are grooming little kids using your tax dollars so that it gets into their little growing minds at a very young age so that someday they could grow and work for a company that will advocate against laws that protect children’s right to be children without being sexualized by creepy pervert adults.

On Tuesday, DeSantis responded to Disney’s statement by pointing out that the state of Florida is run based on the interests of Florida’s citizens and not by business executives, including executives of children’s entertainment companies.

“This state is governed by the interests of the people of the state of Florida. It is not based on the demands of California corporate executives. They do not run this state. They do not control this state,” DeSantis said.

The debate over the law signals a deep cultural divide. Disney’s statement sparked a backlash from some on social media while leftists have been critical of the Florida legislation.

Chasten Buttigieg, the husband of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, falsely stated on Monday in a tweet that the Florida governor had signed legislation to make recognizing the “existence” of LGBT people unlawful.

“Every LGBTQ student, teacher, parent, nurse, astronaut, mechanic, soldier, etc. in Florida is still LGBTQ. The governor can sign a bill making it illegal to acknowledge their existence, but he can’t make them disappear with a pen. Love will always win, friends. Onward.”

The bill does no such thing. LGBTQ people are alive and well in Florida and believe it or not, conservatives don’t care. They just do not want their children being sexualized in school at 5.

Are we really at a point in this country where radical leftists and the LGBTQ+ percent sign and the little Tilda thing that goes over Spanish letters community do not believe that parents have the right to make decisions about their own children’s upbringing? And if parents do, it is somehow an attack on the alphabet them?

So all those Hollywood celebrities who clapped when the three stooges stood on the stage at the Oscars on Sunday repeating the word “gay” to offend Floridians are also against preventing the sexualization of children in public schools starting at the age of 5.

What a world the Left has created.
