President Donald Trump’s reelection campaign has accused CNN wannabe reporter Brian Stelter of sexism on Sunday for telling campaign legal adviser Jenna Ellis that her children and grandchildren would be ashamed of her one day.
In what has been dubbed a “trainwreck” interview on Stelter’s show, (Un)Reliable Sources, the host asked Ellis about the campaign’s threat to sue CNN over a poll last week that said former Vice President Joe Biden fourteen points ahead.
The campaign claimed that the poll numbers are flawed, and suggested that they were reported as part of an effort to suppress voter enthusiasm and turnout for Trump, who faces a tricky re-election fight in the midst of social upheaval.
CNN has done everything it can think of, and then some, to take down President Trump since before he was inaugurated. Just about every member of the cable news network was full in on the Russian collusion hoax, and Brian Stelter among them lied to his audience every day for over two full years.
After Ellis defended President Trump’s use of Twitter to push back on “fake news,” Stelter fired back at her: “You understand that like some day you’re going to regret this, right? Some day you’re going to regret this when your kids and your grandkids look back at this time, and you use slurs and smears like ‘fake news’ to hurt news outlets.”
It’s so good to learn that the Fake News label is getting under Stelter’s skin.
Brian Stelter blocked me on Twitter after I replied to one of his tweets about an upcoming episode of Reliable Sources where I said, “The most unreliable source of news is Reliable Sources.” It was a true statement then, and it’s only gotten more true over time.
Ellis responded that Stelter was guilty of using “personal attacks,” and he reiterated the point, saying she would later “recognize how damaging it was, how damaging it was to use terms like ‘fake news,’ to attack journalists who are trying to do their jobs.”
The problem for Stelter is that intentionally spreading false narratives is not “doing his job.”
“You’re not trying to do your job, Brian. You’re not a journalist. You’re an activist,” she replied.
Bravo for Jenna, because she’s right. Brian Stelter is not a journalist. He’s on the opinion side of the news network, but CNN doesn’t recognize an opinion side. Most of their “anchors” are opinion pundits who sit there looking professional in suits and dresses while holding coffee mugs with the corporate logo on it. They’re activists who pretend to be journalists. Walter Cronkite would be turning in his grave if he knew what his beloved profession has turned into.
For example, as mentioned, Stelter lied every day to his audience for two years. If he really was a journalist trying to do his job he would have apologized to his audience and to the president and his administration the minute the Mueller investigation declared there was no Russian collusion with Trump or anyone in his campaign. We never got that from Stelter, or from any other Fake News outlet.
The Trump campaign issued a statement on Sunday night, through Ali Pardo, deputy communications director:
“Liberal activists masquerading as journalists are constantly demeaning and insulting conservative women simply for having the audacity to think for ourselves and go against the fake news narrative they are pushing that day. President Trump has constantly championed strong women in positions of power and delivered on key issues that matter to women across the country: making our communities safer and bringing jobs back to America. Brian Stelter’s comments today toward Senior Legal Adviser Jenna Ellis were sexist and demeaning, implying that her children and grandchildren will be ashamed of her simply because she was holding media outlets accountable. This kind of on-air meltdown and lashing out is completely unprofessional, yet it’s what we’ve come to expect from the leftists who hate President Trump. It would be great if so-called journalists would refrain from personal attacks and putting words in the mouths of the children and grandchildren of strong, smart, and independent women. We condemn Brian Stelter’s behavior and call on CNN and Stelter to apologize.”
Showing how nervous he is about it, Stelter tweeted several times about the interview later on Sunday, with one tweet saying, “Just woke up from a nap and I see my Twitter mentions are still exploding re: this interview today.”

Yeah, Brian. People are laughing at you, because you’re fake news and you don’t even realize it.
