President Donald Trump commented on the congressional certification of the electoral vote. In a statement shared by White House officials Thursday, the President pledged an “orderly” transition. This came only minutes after Congress voted to certify the electoral slates of all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
As if there was ever a question that there wouldn’t be. That was started by leftist hacks like Bill Maher who said the president would never leave the White House if he lost. It was picked up by the usual leftist morons and repeated often. Meanwhile, Trump never said anything like that.
Don’t forget that Trump was never given a peaceful transition of power. The Democrats spied on his 2016 campaign, then attacked him with phony investigations from the day he was inaugurated. About an hour after Trump was inaugurated the Washington Post ran a headline “The campaign to impeach President Trump has begun.” At least they waited an hour.
President Trump said, “Even though I disagree with the outcome of the election, there will be an orderly transition on January 20th.” The president went on to let his supporters know that this is just the beginning of his fight to Make America Great Again.
Republicans circled the wagons to condemn the violence that happened at the Capitol building on Wednesday during the certification of the Electoral votes. The vice president made a statement Wednesday night as the Senate reconvened to debate the Electoral College results.
“…a dark day in the history of the United States Capitol,” Pence stated. “But thanks to the swift efforts of US Capitol Police, federal, state and local law enforcement, the violence was quelled, the Capitol is secured and the people’s work continues.”
As Pence spoke before the Congress he mentioned the death of an unarmed woman, a US Air Force veteran, who was shot and killed by police for looking into a room through a window where the glass was broken out. He also mentioned dozens of others who were injured.
“To those who wreaked havoc in our Capitol today (Wednesday), you did not win,” said the Vice President. “Violence never wins…freedom wins and this is still the people’s house.”
Violence by Democrats does pay. They rioted every day from the moment George Floyd was killed at the hands of Minneapolis police. Many Democrat politicians encouraged the riots and looting by ignoring their actions and calling what they were doing as peaceful protesting. Kamala Harris, who will be our next vice president, actually helped to bail rioters out of jail so that they could get back to the streets and cause more mayhem. And they got results. Many crackpot Democrat politicians have started programs to defund the police, they are teaching critical race theory in public schools that is racist in its own right. The rioters scared the hell out of them and they got what they want.
What happened yesterday was a result of frustration after four years of being called racist and bigoted and criminal, and a Nazi all because they supported President Donald Trump.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell made some remarks where he argued that the US wasn’t going bow to intimidation or lawlessness.
“They tried to disrupt our democracy, they failed,” he said. “Failed to attempt to obstruct the Congress…this failed insurrection only underscores how crucial the task before us is for our republic.”
Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) took to social media to respond to the protests by pointing out that violence is always wrong.
Senator Josh Hawley’s office also issued a statement, thanking law enforcement for putting their lives on the line. The senators’ office added, “those who attacked police and broke the law must be prosecuted.”
