On Wednesday, Geraldo Rivera was singing the praises for Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), saying that the New York Democratic lawmaker “outshines” all of her congressional colleagues in terms of “eloquence and passionate sincerity.”
I think Rivera is confusing eloquence and passionate sincerity with naïve sophistry. Charles Manson was passionately sincere. Stalin was passionately sincere. Mao, Castro, and Pol Pot were all passionately sincere about what they believed in. It doesn’t mean they had good ideas for the people they claimed to represent.
The 78-year-old Rivera took to social media to kiss up to a woman who thought the unemployment rate under President Donald Trump was exaggerated because most Americans worked two jobs. AOC has an economics degree from Boston University and she doesn’t understand that unemployment statistics are based on the number of workers who are unemployed and not by the numbers of jobs that have been filled. She was passionate when she made that incredibly ignorant statement. There was more knowledge of economics in Al Capone’s vault than can be found in AOC’s brain.
“Say what you want about her politics, @AOC Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez outshines every other member of Congress in eloquence and passionate sincerity.”

That’s like saying Mussolini had the trains run on time.
AOC, a radical progressive revolutionary who has been a member of Congress since 2019, was one of the lawmakers who gave remarks on Wednesday on the floor of the House ahead of a vote to censure Representative Paul Gosar (R-AZ.) about an edited video that includes a small segment where a cartoon figure with Gosar’s face superimposed on it attacks another character that has Ocasio-Cortez’s face superimposed over it.
Since January 6, the Democrats have gone to great lengths to make it appear that Republicans, conservatives, and Trump supporters are all violent neanderthals that they must be protected from as they run roughshod over our country, our American values, norms, and traditions to transform us in to a socialist utopia that will inevitably end up harming millions of American families by putting them out of work, creating inflation that lowers spending power, and pushing policies that bring criminal aliens into the country who by past experience bring a whole host of other problems along with them.
While AOC and her band of eloquently passionate marauders bring misery to millions by draining America’s capital and crashing our economy, knuckleheads like Geraldo, who claims to be a Republican, sing their praises.
Twitter was not kind to the former TV host as numerous people gave their thoughts on the substance of his tweet.
“She says in a podcast she opposes KXL and Line 3 because they are pipelines for exporting natural gas. Both pipelines (a) move crude oil and (b) IMPORT from Canada. How can you be “sincere” when you can’t be bothered to get the basic facts of an issue correct?”
