White fragility. White privilege. White supremacy. Being all White. For the progressive Left, there is no scenario that can’t be attached to these terms. Every failure of a member of the Woke Supremacy can blame it on White [INSERT ABSURD NOTION HERE].
Since the death of Minneapolis’s George Floyd, we’ve been exposed to all kinds of crazy by Marxists who have traded “class” for “race” in the struggle to destroy America from within, including every innocuous thing imaginable being labeled racist. Things like respecting immigration laws, opposing Obamacare, snow, America, supporting black Republicans, quoting Beyoncé lyrics, master bedrooms, blacklists and whitelists, the term “grandfather clause,” Dr. Seuss, blackouts, blackmail, and a whole bunch of other terms you never knew were racist, even after you’ve been told they are.
And now it turns out that French food is racist too. Certainement pas!
Yeah, all those rich foods, the cheeses, croissants, crepes, and other delicious pastries, chocolate souffle, and the wines, oh, the wines. Yep. All racist, according to a law professor who actually has the time to study “food whiteness” and, don’t laugh, “food privileges.” I said don’t laugh.
Is the term “nutty professor” racist too? Asking for a friend.
Law professor Mathilde Cohen of the University of Connecticut recently gave a speech at Sciences Po Paris and the University of Nanterre in which, according to The Times, she argued “French eating habits reinforced the ‘dominance’ of white people over ethnic minorities.” Oh, boy, here we go.
A video of Cohen discussing the issue for a seminar outside Paris is angering a lot of people in France, because as the Times stated, France’s cuisine is “seen as a cornerstone of the national identity.” Well, then, according to a loony leftist like Cohen, all of France is racist.
From the University of Connecticut School of Law, Cohen proposed that the eating habits of the French people reinforce the “dominance” of white people over ethnic minorities, according to the outlet. Now you know where your children should not attend school.
Cohen said, “By this, I mean the use of food to reinforce whiteness as a dominant racial identity.
“The French meal is often presented as the national ritual to which every citizen can participate equally. But French food ways are shaped by white middle- and upper-class norms … and the boundaries of whiteness are policed through daily food encounters.”
So not only are white people racist if they braid their hair or open up an ethnic restaurant making them guilty of cultural appropriation, but they’re now not even allowed to have their own food presentations? What are white people supposed to do, give up all of their cultures so that leftist lunatics don’t get triggered?
Part of Cohen’s seminar included an academic paper titled, “The Whiteness of French Food Law, Race, and Eating Culture in France” that argues France’s “eating culture … has been the central means of racial and ethnic identity formation through slavery, colonialism, and immigration. The whiteness of French food is all the more powerful in that it is unnamed, enabling the racial majority to benefit from food privileges without having to acknowledge their racial origin.” It takes a depraved mind to come up with a theory like that.
And here’s the evidence we were all waiting for. The academic paper uses concepts such as “food studies, critical race theory, and critical Whiteness studies,” to “shed light” on the allegedly “neglected area” of food and race. That explains everything. A proponent of the racist critical race theory is an enemy of sane and rational-thinking people.
Does she accuse the culinary arts from countries in Africa or even the island of Jamaica of being racist or is it just what is considered white food?

Are you kidding me?
This lunatic also believes that a strategy that non-white people in France use to “act white” is to eat typical French food. Does France have laws that say non-white people must eat typical French food that I and the rest of the universe don’t know about?
Not only that, but the Lilith Sternin Crane lookalike thinks that “white, Christian norms are considered a default, much like whiteness itself is often construed as a neutral, non-racial identity.” So flipping what? It’s France! There’s a lot of white Christians there.
If a country that has been around longer than the United States has its own customs, norms, and culture including foods, language, dress styles, and the like, what’s wrong with that? It’s how French people identify as French people. Why would non-white people be offended by French culture if they want to be French? No one there is telling them they have to do everything the way everyone else apparently does to be French in France.
