Surveillance video from outside City Hall has captured protesters receiving a small shipment of baseball bats before anti-police activists attacked cops on the Brooklyn Bridge Wednesday morning.
A car parked close to City Hall held the delivery, and video footage shows one man seen grabbing six bats from the trunk, according to the video footage offered by sources.
Police sources said the bats had been delivered so the anti-cop activists could use them to confront a “unity” rally happening over the Brooklyn Bridge into Manhattan.

Reminds you of when pallets of bricks suddenly appeared in neighborhoods where rioters were gathering. But I digress.
As we reported, the unity rally included clergy, law enforcement and community activists.
It’s not clear if the protesters at City Hall used the bats in the wild Brooklyn Bridge brawl between opposing protesters. However at least one was recovered after the dust settled, police sources said.
A cane was also used in the brouhaha, with one violent protesters caught on camera using it to whack cops over the head during the clash on the bridge.

In all, four cops, including Chief of Department Terence Monahan — the NYPD’s highest-ranking uniformed officer — and one civilian were injured in the conflict, sources said.
The NYPD said 37 people were arrested.
