How does the Biden administration lie to me, let me count the ways.
1 He will stop COVID
2 There was no way to prevent 13 dead soldiers in Afghanistan
3 The evacuation of Afghanistan was smooth and orderly
4 High inflation is temporary
5 Passing the massive BBB will lower inflation
6 Republicans will steal elections
7 Open borders is great for America
8 Joe Biden is sane
9 There were only 10 Americans left in Afghanistan as of August 30th, 2021
The last one could be the biggest lie of all. Since that announcement, over three hundred Americans made it out of Afghanistan. Most of them in spite of Biden and not because of him. Now, a study has come out on the number of Americans still in Afghanistan. Now, according to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, there are as many as 9,000 Americans remain in Afghanistan. That’s more than one hundred, right?
Sen. James Risch (R–Idaho) ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said:
“Despite countless warnings that the Taliban had the ability to take the country swiftly, the Biden Administration failed to properly plan a coordinated evacuation of U.S. citizens, Afghans, and allied partners.”
“The administration waited until less than a day before Kabul fell to make senior leadership decisions on organizing and executing a withdrawal, which proved to be too little too late. While the Department of Defense and Department of State pulled off a major feat in the number of people evacuated, more of our partners could have been saved if proper planning had been conducted.”
Officials like Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and U.S. Central Command leader General Kenneth McKenzie said that they were in touch with small groups of Americans still trapped behind enemy lines. But, did they really try to determine the actual number of Americans still in the country? The State Department knew that there were between 10,000 and 15,000 Americans in Afghanistan as of August 17th.
This is how many Americans, CNN, the most busted name in the news business said were still waiting to get out:
(CNN)There are currently about 80 Americans in Afghanistan who want to leave the country, but evacuation flights have been grounded by the Taliban for about a month, according to a State Department official and two congressional sources familiar with the matter.
“I think you can look at our track record, and the fact we have relocated more than 900 US citizens, lawful permanent residents, not to mention a significant number of other Afghans who meet the criteria for relocation, I think speaks to not only the commitment but also the ability that we have to relocate Americans and those to whom we have a commitment,” Price said during the department’s daily press briefing on Tuesday.
Which number do you think is closer to being right? 80 or 9,000?
