In 2019, Joe Biden pretended to be badass as he proclaimed,\:
“Once again, Putin and the Russians are trying to engage in our elections and decide who the president’s going to be. This time I’m the object of their attention. Because Putin knows if I am president of the United States, his days of tyranny and trying to intimidate the United States and those in Eastern Europe are over.”
“I’m going to stand up to him. He’s a bully, just like the president. And I know he doesn’t want me to be president, but to tell you what, when I’m president, things are going to change. Mr. Putin, the American people decide their elections, not you.”
Au contraire, mon frere, the people did not decide the election, Democrats and RINOs did. And, boy, is Putin ever glad they did. Otherwise, he would be facing President Trump instead of Crazy Uncle Joe. I heard a talking head say that Putin was trying to make Biden look dumb. Since when did Biden need Vladimir’s help?
Biden said, “I’m going to stand up to him.” But what I guess he meant to say is that he would do stand up for him. Putin would be the straight man.
Right up until Russia sent troops into Ukraine, Biden talked tough, but when his moment to shine came, he slunk off into the shadows. It is no longer a question of whether Putin would win because he has already won.
The administration announced an executive order Monday that “will prohibit new investment, trade, and financing by U.S. persons to, from, or in the so-called DNR and LNR regions of Ukraine,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki said Monday. “This E.O. will also provide authority to impose sanctions on any person determined to operate in those areas of Ukraine.”
While the administration also promised additional measures Tuesday, they won’t be “the swift and severe economic measures we’ve been preparing in coordination with allies and partners should Russia further invade Ukraine,” a senior administration official said Monday, declining to specify what “further invasion” meant.
If I was Taiwan, I would be very, very worried right now because Biden was saying he would protect Ukraine but he never said he would protect Taiwan.
