Actually, I don’t believe Blinken told us how many people were left behind in Afghanistan, but he did raise the number quite a bit. We have been told there were 100 people left behind in Afghanistan, but now Blinken admits that we left what he called thousands of green card holders still on the ground in Afghanistan. One US official had previously said we left 5,000 people behind.
The “about 100” has been the consistent line from the WH for the last couple of weeks. https://t.co/trekYgYxEZ

Several thousand green card holders? That in itself is a whole lot more than 100, is it not? Several usually means three or more, whereas a couple is always two. The Biden administration has been playing semantic games, forcing you to try to figure out what they really mean.
By carefully crafting their statements they are able to hide the true numbers. In order to make it appear that they had evacuated more Americans than they actually did.
Biden and his cronies combined the number of Americans with the number of Afghanis. The number they came up with was 122,000. Sound good? What would you say if I told you only 5,400 were Americans? That’s an entirely different ballgame, no?
Senator Ben Sasses (R-Neb.) was furious at the admission.

“After lying about this slow-motion hostage crisis for weeks and stonewalling requests for hard numbers, Secretary Blinken just admitted to Congress that ‘several thousand’ American green card holders are still trapped in Afghanistan,” Sasse said in a statement. “This is a national humiliation. Let’s be very clear about this: These men and women are legal permanent residents of the United States. When America gives someone a green card, it’s a promise that their permanent home is here in the United States with us.”
“President Biden abandoned thousands of these American residents behind Taliban lines to fend for themselves,” Sasse continued. “He has a duty to bring every single American citizen and green card holder home. No more happy talk about the blood-thirsty Taliban — get our people home.”
While loading the planes, Biden allowed any Afghan to board the planes. That left behind a lot of Afghans with SIV visas at the airport and loaded Afghans not eligible for flights. No wonder no country in the world will ever trust us again.
