Hamas has broken the ceasefire with Israel by launching incendiary balloons into Israeli territory. The balloons set several fires that had to be put out.
Israel counterattacked the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said its fighter jets had hit Hamas military compounds in Khan Yunis and Gaza City.
Israel claims there was terrorist activity taking place in the compound. They also said that they had been prepared in case Hamas violated the ceasefire.
This marks the first hostilities since the truce was called 11 days ago. Ilhan Omar denounced Israel for destroying incendiary balloons with their buildings.

The original hostilities began after a Jewish court ruled that Palestinians could be evicted because they refuse to pay rent to the citizens of Israel that built and paid for the houses Palestinians were squatting in.
The protesters began attacking Israeli police, who in turn attacked Hamas. Hamas then escalated the battle by firing 4,340 missiles at Israel, although over 600 of them landed in Gaza rather than Israel.
Hamas claims that Israelis killed 65 children but if you believe that I have some land in Florida I will sell you cheaply. First of all, we don’t know that 65 children died.
Hamas released a picture of a girl they claimed was killed by Israel that they also claim was killed by the Israelis in 2017. But, she is a Russian child model who is very much alive.
Before Israel sends precision-strike rockets, it first warns occupants of the targeted building, allowing people time to leave before destroying buildings that allegedly house Hamas weapons and intelligence. Hamas gives no such warnings to Israeli targets.
“International law requires all combatants — Israel and Hamas — to adhere to the principle of distinction. Distinction means military and civilian forces need to be separated and clearly marked, so that both sides can target each other’s military without killing civilians. Mixing the military amongst the civilians, putting military targets — military installations, rocket facilities — in or in proximity to civilian targets, itself is a violation of the law of war, and that’s what Hamas is doing,” Kontorovich explained.
