“Thou shalt have no gods before the Sarasota School Board” The Gestapo. What a pompous [email protected]@ school board chairman, Jane Goodwin is. At a recent school board meeting, a woman stood up and she wanted to comment on what a school board member had said in the previous meeting. Goodwin stopped in her tracks because “Thou shalt not bear true witness against thy school board.”
Goodwin said:
“Stop talking about school board members. You’re done. You’re done, Mrs. Bakondy, you’re done. Thank you, you’re done. You cannot go and expound on school board members. I’ve told you. I’ve warned you several times. Thank you very much, you’re done, move on. Goodbye.”
Immediately, three police officers escorted the mother, Melissa Bakondy, from the meeting for daring to use her constitutional right to free speech. Blessed are the Sarasota school board for they will inherit your tax money without consequence.” I would immediately file a lawsuit against the Sarasota police department since she had committed no crime other than Goodwin deciding she was the thought police and had the right to overrule the constitution.
This is why so many school boards across the country are either recalled or voted out of office by angry parents. But, for some reason, Goodwin has decided that she reigns supreme over the Constitution of the United States. Someone needs to start a recall petition against this tin god right away. “Thou shalt not kill the school board with their own words.” That is as true today as it was when Moses brought the tablets to Ft Lauderdale.
Bakondy asked Godwin what the problem was, and the chairwoman replied, “You were about to say something horrible about Shirley Brown, please leave You’ve said things about me that were untrue. Leave, please!”
Soon Goodwin ordered the officers to ask Bakondy to leave, and Fox News said she was ejected from the meeting.
Following the heated exchange, Sarasota County Sheriff Kurt A. Hoffman spoke on video Friday taking issue with the Bakondy getting kicked out of the meeting, the Herald-Tribune reported.
Hoffman said officers from the Sarasota County Schools Police Department were at the meeting, not Sarasota County Sheriff’s deputies, the paper said.
“The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office would never participate in preventing a citizen from expressing their First Amendment rights during public comment,” Hoffman said, according to the Herald-Tribune. “As your sheriff, I don’t condone tax-paying citizens being silenced.”
