A father, a mother, and their young child were recovering items that were stolen from them in a Seattle homeless camp when they were attacked with a machete, rocks, and a five-foot wooden pole.
In Seattle, they do not require you to obey the law. You can do just about anything short of murder and get away with it. The news report of the incident came from Washington state radio host Jason Rantz.
The police were called to the large South Lake Union tent encampment. A man and his wife along with a two-year-old child went to the homeless camp to retrieve several articles that were stolen from their car. They were immediately set upon by a group of the homeless armed with a machete and rocks. The husband was seen getting hit in the back by a five-foot wooden pole.
Here’s more from KIRO:
Police said the couple was immediately attacked by several people in the camp. The driver was seen on surveillance video being hit in the back with a 5-foot wooden pole, while another man attacked the driver and smashed the windows of the car with a machete, according to prosecutors. More people from the encampment joined the fight with rocks and sticks, and police said a woman from the camp began fighting with the female passenger of the car.
During the ambush, the driver desperately tried to get away and as he sped through the crowd, he hit a man, killing him. The 20-year-old man had joined the crowd surrounding the car when he was hit.
A nearby business owner witnessed what had happened and his story matched that of the husband. He said:

“It was a car being attacked, being surrounded by people from this encampment and they were bashing the car to pieces with bars, sticks, whatever they had. Then the car made a run for it to break through this crowd.”
“One of the guys who was surrounding the car got thrown up into the air and then run over by this vehicle.”
The police say the husband is unlikely to be charged with a crime but they did arrest two men in the attack against the family. They are John Henry Rosser IV, 39, and Mario J. Miller, 53. Both have a long violent record. As of this writing, Kamala harris has not bailed them out yet.
