Have you ever noticed that common sense isn’t very common in the Democratic party? There are a couple of exceptions and they are vilified by the rest of their party. Joe Manchin is one of them and Kyrsten is the other one. Both have chosen to represent those who voted for them rather than the Democratic party, a concept that is lost on liberals. Sinema is an independent thinker and she is now urging Joe Biden to increase domestic oil production.
Rather than run up the price of oil by desperately purchasing oil from countries that hate us, we could be producing our own at a much lower cost. Under President Trump, we achieved energy independence and low prices, but under Biden, the cost of energy is skyrocketing as he tightens the noose around domestic energy producers. Renewable energy is extremely costly and only exists through federal subsidies and even then can’t come close to meeting our needs.
By making fossil fuels so expensive, the Democrats are trying to make renewables look cheap. As I said, common sense is not common in the Democratic Party. The cost of renewables at this time is not sustainable. The middle class and the poor will bear the brunt of the damage. I got news for the Democrats. There are a lot more votes among the poor and the middle class than among the donor class Democrats that rake in the government subsidies. And the election will be held in a winter month when people need to heat their homes.
Democratic Sen. Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona called Tuesday for raising U.S. oil production to offset the loss of imported Russian oil, according to the Associated Press.
“The reasonable way to address what is going to be an oil shortage in America is for us to responsibly increase our own domestic oil production,” the senator remarked during a luncheon for the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry, according to the outlet.
Americans have been getting slammed by high gas prices — as of Tuesday, the AAA national average for a gallon of regular gas was $4.098.
