America’s woke movement will lead to Republican victories all across the board. No one cared when it was just conservatives being called out but now they have started eating their own as about 300 people representing BLM and the teacher’s union protested outside Lightfoot’s house using report cards in order to call out the mayor’s position on coronavirus recovery, police reform, housing, education, the environment, and racial injustice.
They seemed to be especially peeved that she has not defunded the police. Considering the crime problem in Chicago, ridding yourself of the police does not seem logical. As the Windy City sees it’s gun violence rate skyrocket, what would happen if you remove all police from the equation? I think we have seen enough evidence in cities where police were defunded and the crime rate went through the roof.

Black Lives Matter Chicago wrote on its Facebook page:
“For the past 2 years, Lightfoot’s Administration has continued to ignore the demands of its people. This administration has failed on multiple issues – from environmental justice to education to policing to housing and COVID recovery.”
I am no fan of Mayo0r Lightfoot but I do find it strange considering how vigorously they defend even the most incompetent elected Democrat. You need look no further that NY Gov Andrew Cuomo. He sent people with COVID-19 into nursing homes, resulting in many deaths. For this he made $5.1 million on his book on handling COVID-19 and even won an Emmy. Imagine what he would have gotten hade he done something right.
Good Kids Mad City, one of the community organizations that organized the protest. It is a group for Black and brown kids youth coming together trying to cut down violence in the city. How you manage that without police, I haven’t a clue.
“It’s not enough to be black, it’s not enough to be female, you gotta be right,” Tara Stamps, a veteran Chicago Public Schools teacher, told WFLD.
The Chicago Teachers Union tweeted that its 28,000 members are “grateful and honored to be standing alongside” protesters against the Chicago mayor.
Lightfoot responded to the protest by saying, “Look, I’m the mayor of the city. There’s always going to be people who are critical. There’s always people who are going to say we’ve fallen short.”
