DeSantis 2018 Opponent Andrew Gillum Arrested For Conspiracy, Faces Up to 45 Years in Prison

To say that the people of Florida dodged a bullet when they elected Ron DeSantis over Andrew Gillum four years ago, would be an understatement. DeSantis has been one of the best if not the very best Governor over the past four years, whereas Gillum has been, shall we say somewhat disappointing? A couple of years ago Gillum was caught with a male hooker and drugs in a motel room.

And now, he has been arrested and indicted by Biden’s DOJ on 19 counts of wire fraud and making false statements to the FBI. He is now facing up to 45 years in prison, although he might enjoy that.

The maximum terms of imprisonment for the offenses are as follows:

5 years: Making False Statements
20 years: Conspiracy to Commit Wire Fraud
20 years: Wire Fraud

A federal grand jury has returned a twenty-one count indictment against Andrew Demetric Gillum, 42, and Sharon Janet Lettman-Hicks, 53, both of Tallahassee, Florida. The indictment was announced by Jason R. Coody, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida.

The Indictment alleges that between 2016 and 2019, defendants Gillum and Lettman-Hicks conspired to commit wire fraud, by unlawfully soliciting and obtaining funds from various entities and individuals through false and fraudulent promises and representations that the funds would be used for a legitimate purpose. The Indictment further alleges the defendants used third parties to divert a portion of those funds to a company owned by Lettman-Hicks, who then fraudulently provided the funds, disguised as payroll payments, to Gillum for his personal use. Both defendants are charged with 19 counts of wire fraud. Gillum is also charged with making false statements to agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Did you notice that the timeline of these crimes was from 2016 to 2019? That means he was committing these crimes before and during his campaign for governor.

During the 2018 gubernatorial election, Broward County Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes attempted to steal the election for Gillum, but people lined up outside including journalists and pointed out that they were counting illegal votes in the middle of the night and behind closed doors. They were able to stop the steal.
