Remember how the liberals broke out in tears and woke corporations wet their pants over what they called the Voter Suppression Bill? Early voting numbers in Georgia have exploded. Could it be that more people are willing to vote knowing that their vote will count? So far, over 539,297 ballots have been cast, which is 196% more than the last midterm election in 2019 and 156%n higher than 2020, which was a presidential election year.
The best news is that of the 539,297 ballots cast, Republicans lead Democrats by 308,745 to 226,952, with 3,600 nonpartisan ballots cast. That’s almost an 82,000 vote lead. Of course, the Democrats haven’t started manufacturing votes, but I’m sure they will start soon.
Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said:
“The record early voting turnout is a testament to the security of the voting system and the hard work of our county election officials. As Secretary of State, I promised to strike a strong balance between access and security in our elections, and these numbers demonstrate that I kept that promise and that voters have confidence in Georgia’s elections.”
I have the utmost confidence that Raffensperger and Gov Kemp will not allow a repeat of 2020, but only because both of them are up for reelection. In fact, don’t be surprised if Raffensperger sends observers to counties such as Fulton and Cobb to keep an eye on them. He might be willing to allow Biden to win, but he won’t allow himself to lose.
Against the backdrop of Trump’s claims about the election and concerns about election procedures that were adjusted during the pandemic, Georgia passed the Election Integrity Act of 2021, which included a bevy of reforms such as standardizing rules for early voting to include a 17-day window for ballots to be cast early. Democrats such as Biden chastised the measure, contending it amounted to voter suppression.
“Parts of our country are backsliding into the days of Jim Crow, passing laws that harken back to the era of poll taxes, when black people were made to guess how many jelly beans in a jar or count the number of bubbles in a bar of soap before they could cast their ballot,” Biden told Al Sharpton’s National Action Network last year.
Biden kept his record perfect. He has never been right about anything.
