Fox News Fact Checks Biden in Inflation Claims, Concludes That he Lied

Joe Biden has blamed COVID-19, the Republicans, President Trump, Russia, and the heartbreak of psoriasis for the high inflation rate in the United States. But, no one was buying what he was selling, so he tried something new. Biden claimed that other developed countries had higher rates of inflation than we do.

Biden said:

“If it’s my fault, why is it the case in every other major industrial country in the world that inflation is higher? You ask yourself that? I’m not being a wise guy.”

WH correspondent Steve Doocey asked WH spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre:

“Why is the president saying that inflation is worse everywhere but here?”

Pierre responded:

“So if you look at globally, other countries, and if you look at where we are economically when you think about the Group 7, the G-7, we are in a much stronger place than we are economically than the rest.”

“I did look globally, though. He says that inflation is worse everywhere but here. That’s not true. The US. has worse inflation than Germany, France, Japan, Canada, India, Italy, Saudi Arabia. So why is he saying that?”

Pierre lied:

“Well, I think what we are saying is that when you talk about inflation, it is a global thing. And it is not just about the United States, this is something that everyone is feeling — because of coming out of a once-in-a-lifetime pandemic, because of the war that Russia has started in Ukraine.”

Here are the inflation rates of the developed countries that Doocy listed: Japan (2.5%), Saudi Arabia (2.2%), France (5.2%), Italy (6.8%), Canada (6.8%), India (7%), Germany (7.9%).

Not only do other countries beat u8s on inflation, but their growth also dwarfs ours as well, even Ethiopia.

The outlook for growth for 2022 was originally estimated to be 4.1%, but that has now been cut to 2.9% and the GDP has dropped for five consecutive months. How does that compare to the rest of the world? China, Italy, and France experienced economic growth rates of 8.1%, 6.6%, and 7%, respectively. I believe those are all higher than 2.9%. Hell, Ethiopia has a growth rate of 6.3% and Kenya is at 7.2% and India clocked in at 8.9%. Nuff said?

And yet Biden and his minions are trying to convince us everything is wonderful. How pathetic.
