National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC), claims that Ilhan Omar may have violated finance disclosure laws by underreporting and not reporting assets on her federal disclosure form.
As a felony that could net someone up to five years in prison. That is, unless you are a Democrat. In which case, you could get elected to higher office.
Omar has had her share of criminal offenses, if reports are true, to last her a lifetime.
Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar possibly committed a felony by failing to properly report her assets and income in her federal financial disclosure forms to the House of Representatives.
She wrote a book for which she was to be paid a minimum of $250,000 dollars that she did not list at all.
There is also reason to believe was undervalued since she paid his company $3 million dollars from her campaign war chest. That is a significant amount of money.
The group, National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC), demanded the Office of Congressional Ethics (OCE) investigate Omar’s finances in an effort to determine whether she violated federal law.
NLPC wrote in its complaint:
“Representative Omar’s apparent disclosure omissions and misreporting violate House ethics rules, the Ethics in Government act, and possibly 18 U.S.C. 1001, a felony with penalties up to five years in prison for making false statements in a matter before the legislative branch. There is clearly more than ‘reasonable cause to believe’ that disclosure violations may have occurred.”

Omar spokesman Jeremy Slevin said:
“The NPLC a [sic] far-right group with ties to the Trump campaign known for filing specious claims, including trying to challenge the constitutionality of the Mueller investigation. We see this complaint for what it is: a completely political document and not one with legal validity.”
But, if that is true, are they trying to get us to believe that she was never paid a penny of her guaranteed money? And since she had to file with the FEC the money her campaign paid to the firm her husband owns, why is the company worth so much less than their income? Not that it matters since asmI said before she is a Democrat and as such is exempted from obeying the law.
