The more we learn about the shooting at Robb Elementary School, the more I’m convinced heads need to roll. The Border Patrol arrived much earlier than we had previously been told. They arrived at 12:15 but the police stopped them from going in. At 12:50, the Border Patrol said to hell with the police and they went in and killed the shooter and ended the senseless murder. We will never know how many lives could have been saved had the Border patrol had been allowed to act immediately, but we do know there will be a lot of angry parents who lost children at the school.
According to multiple reports, the agents did not coordinate with the Uvalde Police Department due to their poor response. They ended up having to act on their own initiative when it became apparent that the UPD was as worthless as a milk bucket under a bull. They entered the building at 12:50 and made their way to the shooter and converted him to room temperature. What were the police waiting for? An engraved invitation?
What makes it worse is that it took three days to get the truth about what happened to the public. Gov. Greg Abbott was furious as he said he had been misled about the operation. Abbott said:
“I was misled. I am livid about what happened.”
According to NBC News.
Federal agents who went to Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday to confront a gunman who killed 19 children were told by local police to wait and not enter the school — and then decided after about half an hour to ignore that initial guidance and find the shooter, say two senior federal law enforcement officials.
According to the officials, agents from BORTAC, the Customs and Border Protection tactical unit, and ICE’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) arrived on the scene between noon and 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Local law enforcement asked them to wait, and then instructed HSI agents to help pull children out of the windows.
The BORTAC team, armed with tactical gear, at first did not move toward the gunman. After approximately 30 minutes passed, however, the federal agents opted of their own volition to lead the “stack” of officers inside the school and take down the shooter.
