A group of GOP Senators has sent a letter to AG Merrick Garland about the difference in charging people for January 6th and those who rioted all summer in various cities across America.
Their actions are night and day. Those who looted and burned had most of their charges dropped, while they are holding people without bail who basically did nothing wrong.
It’s a fair question to ask why the non-violent January 6th crowd is hounded and those who loot and burn to get a pass.
The Daily Caller was the first outlet to see the letter from Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, Alabama Sen. Tommy Tuberville, Utah Sen. Mike Lee, and Florida Sen. Rick Scott.
In their letter, they point to the difference in attitude between the conservatives and antifa and BLM. It seems that enforcement of the law is now political and not equitable. Maybe they should have looted and burned a few businesses and they too could be walking free.
After the death of George Floyd, there were violent riots in cities such as Minneapolis, where 1,500 buildings were set on fire, Portland, where they rioted for 120 straight nights, Seattle, where they actually took over part of the city and where people were shot and killed along with multiple other liberal cities.
Insurance estimates run from 1 to 2 billion dollars. That does not include businesses that could not afford insurance.
