Ghislaine Maxwell’s trial is expected to be over by Wednesday and she could be facing up to 70 years in prison unless she commits “suicide” in her cell. But, she is expected to start naming names if she is convicted and that could be bad for a lot of people, including the rich and powerful. But, what I don’t understand is why she could have much impact, considering the FBI seized a treasure trove of tapes from Epstein’s townhouse in New York City.
Has Christopher Wray buried all of those tapes? We know from previous testimony that Epstein had cameras everywhere and that he recorded the action taking place in the bedrooms of his many homes. No doubt, there are many people having panic attacks throughout the country and possibly the world over the possibility that Maxwell will spill all she knows.
The court will begin their Christmas break on Thursday, so a verdict is expected by then. Closing arguments will be made today and depending on their length, the judge could give the jury their instructions and deliberations could begin by this afternoon.
Maxwell is being accused of recruiting and grooming young girls who provided herself and Epstein pleasure. It is highly unlikely that she will be acquitted and that could set up an opportunity for Maxwell to squeal before her sentencing.
A source connected with the case claims that if Maxwell is convicted, she plans on naming names in exchange for a recommendation for a lighter sentence. The judge would not be bound by such a plea bargain.
From the Daily Mail:
“Maxwell, 59, denies all six charges linked to grooming underage girls for abuse by the late paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. However, the source said if she is convicted – and facing up to 70 years in prison – she might co-operate with the US Government in exchange for a reduced sentence or better jail conditions.
This could be bad news for Prince Andrew and other high-profile men who hung out with Ghislaine and Jeffrey Epstein,’ the source said.
‘It is possible she will begin to co-operate and tell what she knows in an attempt to lessen her jail term. We know that prosecutors are looking at other co-conspirators in connection with Jeffrey Epstein’s child sex ring.
Ghislaine undoubtedly possesses information which could assist prosecutors in other cases. If she decides to co-operate, her testimony could be devastating. She was Epstein’s right-hand woman for years, imagine what she knows?’
