If you want to look thin, stand next to someone really fat. If you are Joe Biden and you want to look competent, stand next to Maxine Waters or Nancy Pelosi. And whatever you do, fire those who know just how really bad you have mucked things up.
That’s what the Biden Administration has done. They have relieved Marine Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller, an infantry commander, of duty because he dated call a disaster a catastrophe.
Scheller made a video asking why no one was taking responsibility for the mess in Afghanistan. Many people were wondering about that too, and so the video went mega-viral. That brought attention to Scheller and it was spotted by one of the brass responsible for the mess in Afghanistan.
They promptly relieved Scheller from duty, and they went on to warn others in the Navy, that blaming them for the disaster they created in Afghanistan would suffer a similar fate.
I’m not saying we’ve got to be in Afghanistan forever, but I am saying: Did any of you throw your rank on the table and say ‘hey, it’s a bad idea to evacuate Bagram Airfield, a strategic airbase, before we evacuate everyone?
Remarkable video from Marine Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller calling out senior leaders on Afghanistan. "People are upset because senior leaders let them down, and none of them are raising their hands and accepting accountability or saying 'we messed this up.'" pic.twitter.com/rgtp8OncCX

But he maintained that wasn’t what prompted the video.
I’ve been in the Marine infantry for 17 years. I started my tour with Victor 1-8, that’s the current unit that’s doing perimeter security, dealing with the mess that’s going on there. You can see open-source reporting that there was an explosion and some people were killed. I know through my inside channels that one of the people that was killed was someone that I have a personal relationship with. I won’t go into more detail because the families are still being notified.
I’m not making this video because it’s potentially an emotional time. I’m making it because I have a growing discontent and contempt for [the] perceived ineptitude at the foreign policy level and I want to specifically ask some questions to some of my senior leaders.
The Pentagon finally found someone to blame for the Afghanistan debacle: the Lt. Col. who asked why the hell didn't Pentagon brass put their jobs on the line to say no. pic.twitter.com/ERW2yIivT1

Myself and people like me watch Afghanistan on the TV and wonder how they could have possibly been worse even if they tried. Well, they could try, but they would fail.
