RINOs never learn. That’s why they are an embarrassment to themselves and to the party they claim to belong to. Did they think the Democrats would engage in honest negotiations? Why? They never have before and they are far more radical than ever. And to make it worse, they were fooled by a doddering old fool.
Not long after the deal was announced, Biden told reporters that he would not sign the bill unless it was accompanied by a reconciliation bill costing trillions of dollars.
A reconciliation bill is not subject to a filibuster. That would mean that the Republicans would be powerless to stop it from passing.
As of this morning, only two of the eleven RINOs have said they will oppose both bills now. Where are the other nine?
Sen. Lindsey Graham said:
“No deal by extortion! It was never suggested to me during these negotiations that President Biden was holding hostage the bipartisan infrastructure proposal unless a liberal reconciliation package was also passed.”
The two RINOs that have said they will no longer vote for the infrastructure bill are enough to kill it. They need ten republicans to end the filibuster and they no longer have the votes. They will then tell the voters that Republicans are responsible for killing the infrastructure bill.
They will be backed up by the lapdog media and by big tech who wants cheap foreign labor and no regulation from the Democrats.
A White House readout of the call from Biden to Kyrsten Sinema said:
“The President reiterated strong support for both the Bipartisan Infrastructure bill and a reconciliation bill containing the American Families Plan moving forward on a two-track system, as he said yesterday when meeting the press with the bipartisan group of ten Senators. These are two critical priorities to the President that he wants to see advance through the legislative process as quickly as possible, pass as quickly as possible, and be presented to him for signing as quickly as possible.”
Sinema has not responded yet, but she will soon be up for reelection in a red state. She has proven she has the fortitude to withstand criticism from her party. But, if they get too rough, she could decide to switch parties.
