The State Department Inspector General will be conducting a series of investigations into the evacuation from Afghanistan that Joe Biden and his henchmen totally botched. It was like watching a pack of monkeys trying to make love to a football.
The review will focus on the State Department’s Special Immigrant Visa Program. I’m not sure that is the problem. The problem was that the Biden Administration was desperate to put up numbers and they didn’t even bother to check IDs.
As a result, we took in a hundred thousand unvetted Afghanis and left those who had helped us on the ground and left them at the mercy of the Taliban. I would prefer to know why Biden and crew abandoned Americans in Afghanistan, the first time in this country’s history we have committed such a heinous act. It will forever be a stain on this country.
Diana Shaw, the acting inspector general at State, told Congress that her office was launching “several oversight projects” into the way the Biden Administration flubbed the operation in Afghanistan from beginning to end.
Shaw wrote:
“Given the elevated interest in this work by Congress and the unique circumstances requiring coordination across the Inspector General community, I wanted to notify our committees of jurisdiction of this important work.”
Politico reported that the IGs from the Department of Defense and the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction, are likely to run their own investigations into the total incompetence of this administration.
Critics have been having a field day with all of the poor judgment that was used during the evacuation and rightfully so. I don’t recall anything that has been handled correctly. It has not gotten any better since Biden completed his early withdrawal. Volunte4ers have rounded up Americans and SIV holders, but the State Department has put up roadblocks in allowing flights out of Afghanistan. The only reason I can see for that is so the American people never find out how many Americans he gave his middle finger to.
Biden infamously assured Americans that the Taliban would not storm the U.S. Embassy in Kabul the same way the North Vietnamese stormed the U.S. Embassy in Saigon in 1975, but events disproved this confident prediction, as footage of Kabul eerily echoed Saigon.
Retired Lt. Gen. Keith Kellogg, a Fox News contributor and former acting national security advisor to President Trump, told Fox News at the time that Biden owns the Afghanistan withdrawal disaster, and that the Afghan power vacuum Biden left behind is “much worse” than the power vacuum in Iraq that spawned the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
An untold number of Americans and U.S. allies remain trapped in the country, which the withdrawal left in the hands of the Taliban. Retired military leaders have called for the mass resignation of Biden’s diplomatic and military leaders in the wake of the fiasco.
