Texas sheriffs and other law enforcement groups filed a lawsuit Thursday against the Biden administration. They say they are being forbidden to arrest and deport criminal illegal aliens. Their hands are being tied and they are forced to release these criminals, some of who have raped children into the United States. Even if you agree with Biden’s disastrous open border policy, you should be against freeing criminals.
Five counties, five sheriff’s departments, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement employees, along with a national law enforcement group are party to the suit. Former Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach is the lead attorney in the case. The case was filed with the federal court in Southern Texas. The border areas in Southern Texas are one of the worst areas in America at this time for illegal crossings.
Kobach said to the Washington Examiner:
“The ICE officers involved in this case are astounded at what their superiors are asking them to do: Releasing people charged with rape of a child, releasing people charged with dealing drugs and resisting arrest.”
“These are really serious criminals, and ICE is being ordered by the political leadership of the Biden administration to turn them loose.”
The suit says that changes enacted by Joe Biden have made it nearly impossible to arrest, detain, and deport illegal aliens with criminal convictions. In one case ICE refused to pick up a prisoner with convictions of domestic abuse, evading arrest, and multiple counts of drunken driving. He is a fatal accident waiting to happen.

Critics of Biden’s lax immigration policies have pointed to a worsening crisis at the border as evidence of their inefficacy. On the other hand, illegal alien advocates have excoriated the Biden administration for not doing enough to end deportations.
Biden’s immigration plan includes a “roadmap to citizenship” for the millions of illegal aliens already in the United States.
