THE FIX IS IN: Michigan Board of Elections Tosses Top Republican Candidates from Governor’s Race Including James Craig

The fix is in to ensure t6hat Michigan gets an extremely poor governor for four more years. The Michigan Board of Elections has tossed five Republicans from the race, supposedly because they didn’t get enough valid signatures to be eligible to run. As I see it, James Craig can either start a write-in campaign or he could sue the board. My suggestion is that he does both.

Former Detroit police Chief James Craig and billionaire businessman Perry Johnson were knocked out of the race today by the Michigan Board of Elections. In all, the board tossed  5 Republican candidates from the election, including the two top candidates. This is a preemptive strike meant to guarantee a Democratic victory in the governor’s race.

The Detroit News reported:

Former Detroit police Chief James Craig and businessman Perry Johnson, two of the top candidates for the Republican nomination for governor, didn’t submit enough valid petition signatures to make the ballot, according to findings from the Michigan Bureau of Elections.

The bureau’s revelations Monday evening shook up the 2022 race to be Michigan’s governor, potentially leaving Republicans without their most well-known candidate, Craig, and without their wealthiest hopeful, Johnson.

If the bureau’s reviews hold, five of the 10 candidates who submitted signatures to run for governor wouldn’t make the ballot. Three other GOP candidates for governor were also found to have insufficient signatures: financial adviser Michael Markey of Grand Haven, Michigan State Police Capt. Michael Brown of Stevensville and entrepreneur Donna Brandenburg of Byron Center.

The bipartisan, four-member Board of State Canvassers will meet Thursday to consider what the Board of Elections has done and what, if anything needs to be done. If the canvassers agree with the recommendations, the 10-person field of political newcomers would be cut in half to five. The favorite would become Tudor Dixon, whose only major political achievement is to net the support of one of the countries; best known and richest families in the country, the -DeVos family.

The others who would remain in the race would be a grassroots activist Garrett Soldano; wealthy self-funding businessman Kevin Rinke; real estate broker and anti-coronavirus lockdown activist Ryan Kelley; and pastor Ralph Rebandt.
