Justice may have been delayed, but it was still served as Jussie Smollett was convicted on five of the six charges filed against him. Smollett committed a hate hoax in 2019 when he paid the Osundairo brothers to fake an attack on him, wearing Trump-related clothing and making racist remarks against Smollett. Smollett testified on his own behalf and legal experts agree that it was a disaster. It probably didn’t matter because the prosecution was not headed by Kim Foxx, but by a real prosecutor.
They had 70 hours of video which included the dry run the three participated in just two days before the “attack.” Smollett’s lawyer still claims his client is 100% not guilty and that he is appealing the decision. Good luck with that. This is like losing a bet on a play in a football game and then losing double or nothing on the replay because you didn’t think they could do it again.
What is going to change in a second trial? It’s not like Kamala Harris will be on the jury.
Radio host Jesse Kelly reacted:
“Jussie Smollett lied about being a victim for the same reason [Lebron James] lied about it. And for the same reason Oprah [Winfrey] lied about it. We have so twisted the minds of so many people in this country, they think ‘victim’ is the highest form they can achieve. It’s a sickness.”
LeBron James claimed to be a victim, but his alleged attacker was never found and Oprey Winfrey backed off quickly from her claims of discrimination after the alleged perp called her out as a liar. It has become a status symbol to be a race victim and since there are so few actual attacks, people are forced to fake them themselves. How many times have we seen that over the past few years?
“Jussie Smollett guilty on 5 felony counts,” wrote journalist Megyn Kelly. “He perpetrated a hate crime hoax & made the road that much tougher for real victims. As for the press & politicos who gleefully bought his obvious nonsense & used it as an excuse to bash America, shame on you too.”

“My favorite part of Jussie Smollett’s hoax was that he left the rope around his neck… LIKE A REAL VICTIM WOULD… So when the cops showed up, he probably pointed to it and said ‘See?!?! They tried to get me with this rope JUST LIKE THIS!’ So f***ing dumb…,” said columnist Tim Young.
