Xi Jinping Warns Joe Biden Over Taiwan: Biden Promises Taiwan He Won’t Cave for Days

I truly believe you could mug Joe Biden by mail. He has already backed way off from defending Taiwan. He now only promises sophisticated military equipment that China will seize once they depose the island nation. Biden is the weakest president, we have had in my lifetime and I’m older than air. Both Russia and China openly threaten him. They never did that to Obama or carter even. And Iran absolutely laughs in his face.

Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping held a virtual summit on Monday. During the summit, Xi warned Joe Biden against defending Taiwan from attack by mainland China. He told him that he would be playing with fire and would end up getting burned. Biden never brought up the Wuhan virus or the Chinese slavery of the Uighurs. I guess I can understand the slavery part. Democrats have supported slavery for hundreds of years.

Chinese President Xi Jinping has used a virtual summit with US counterpart Joe Biden to warn that encouraging Taiwanese independence would be “playing with fire”.

The talks are the most substantial since Mr Biden took office in January.

Both sides emphasized the two men’s personal relationship and the summit was an attempt to ease tensions.

But they could not escape one of the most sensitive topics: the self-ruled island of Taiwan.

China sees Taiwan as a breakaway province to be reunified with the mainland one day.

The US recognizes and has formal ties with China. But it has also pledged to help Taiwan defend itself in the event of an attack.

China’s state-run Global Times said Mr Xi blamed recent tensions on “repeated attempts by the Taiwan authorities to look for US support for their independence agenda as well as the intention of some Americans to use Taiwan to contain China”.

“Such moves are extremely dangerous, just like playing with fire. Whoever plays with fire will get burnt,” it said.

Biden defended his decision to hold a virtual summit. He says it is more personal than getting his orders in a diplomatic pouch. But the diplomatic pouch is good too because that way he can get paid before he does something to favor China.
